The Gram Sanskruti Udyan is a perfect place for kids not just to play but also to enrich their knowledge. A walk through the Gram Sanskruti Udyan is a great way to experience the rural culture of India. Here you can witness various sculptures of the carpenter, blacksmith, barber, astrologer, farmer, tailor, cobbler, goldsmith, and many more! Each of these sculptures presents the caste-based occupation system in villages. Apart from these statues, you can also see different houses that belong to a doctor, teacher, butcher, shepherd, or individuals of other professions.

The Gram Sanskruti Udyan also depicts the day-to-day life of a village by showing models of farmers working in the field, sculptures of barbers and tailors working in their shops, village weddings, villagers buying sweets from a mock sweet shop, a mock fighting arena, and a teacher teaching under the tree.

You can also witness the heritage and culture of the Zamindars through the Wada. The Wada is a large mansion with life-like models of cattle and horses in a stable.

Not only human figures and houses, but the Gram Sanskruti Udyan also has animal sculptures like lions, tigers, dogs, hippopotamus, and rhinoceros. Your kids will be amazed to see these sculptures as it is difficult to differentiate them from real animals. Once you’ve explored the Udyan, make sure to visit the Someshwar temple. This temple of Lord Shiva houses amazing replicas of 12 Jyotirlingas. The temple is located behind the ticket counter of the Gram Sanskruti Udyan.
