Ranjangaon Ganpati Temple is among the eight major temples of Lord Ganesha (also known as Ashtavinayak temples) in Maharashtra. And as per the beliefs, Lord Shiva worshipped Lord Ganesha here before going to defeat the demon Tripurasura.
The idol in the temple is Maha Ganpati, the most powerful representation of Lord Ganesha. It’s said that this avatar has ten trunks and several arms. In the temple, he’s seated on a lotus, with Siddhi (spiritual power) and Riddhi (prosperity) by his sides.
